Join us at Jack's Waterfront Bistro + Bar and try out our new 2017 summer menu! Enjoy dinner along the banks of the Grand River; the gateway to Lake Michigan. We have many local favorites on the menu and have added some tasty new appetizers including Bistro Mussels, Bone In Wings, Slammin' Salmon and fresh artisan green salads and mouth-watering entrees including a 10-ounce Grilled Sirloin, Stuffed Portobello and Softshell Crab just to name a few. 

Our famous Tiki Bar is open, come join us for a signature Rum Bomber! Enjoy live music on the deck area five nights a week- 6-9pm every Wednesday through Sunday, June through Labor Day (weather permitting). We have West Michigan's best dance bands every Friday and Saturday night starting at 9pm. And Comedy Night is every Thursday starting at 9:30pm with nationally touring comedians. No cover charges! 

Our property is family friendly with an indoor and outdoor pool, a game room with Xbox and Wii, a fitness room, a beautiful great lawn and outdoor area, and a bike path beside the hotel that you can tour all through Spring Lake. And - we are dog-friendly!  (sorry, no other animals). We are only two miles from Grand Haven Beach and State Park and the iconic Grand Haven Lighthouse, boardwalk and unique downtown shops.  We welcome you to enjoy your summer with us!  

Winter Paradise Desserts

Jack's Waterfront Bistro + Bar has been working vigorously the past few months to break the bounds on tradition and offer up items patrons would never come to expect. Participating in a stylized winter wedding photo shoot the desserts produced from Jack's culinary team put themselves on the map, with Holiday Inn proving itself as an indoor wedding destination!

Mini desserts adorned the dessert table featuring chocolate chip cookie sandwiches, chocolate mousse napoleons, vanilla cream horns with lemon curd and mini cheesecakes (not pictured). A s’more station held homemade heart shaped delectable marshmallows alongside mugs of hot cocoa warmed by handcrafted crochet sleeves.

Acting as the exclusive on-site catering (aside from any certified baker) for events held at Holiday Inn we're dedicated to going above and beyond to create memorable events tailored to your needs.

While many hotels battle the "hotel restaurant" connotation of cheap food, poor service and predictable menu items, the culinary team here at Jack’s Waterfront Bistro excel at achieving truly tasteful dining at an exceptional value with prime waterfront views!

We like to think we're bringing love back with the annual return of Love, Wine & Chocolate!

This year the event will take place on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th making it the perfect all inclusive date night for any guy (or gal) scrambling for ideas. The proceeds from this years event will go to the Center for Women in Transition - a cause that warms the hearts of many.

What’s better than wearing twenty layers and sipping rum bombers from our Tiki Bar in the dead of winter...well nothing, it’s winter! Join Jack's Waterfront Bistro + Bar with the return of Jack Frost's Winter Warmer - a Grand Haven Winterfest event Saturday, January 24th, 2015. After a long day of dog pulls and cardboard sled races, belly up to the Tiki Bar for one of our signature rum bombers.

Jack Frost's Winter Warmer kicks off at 2PM, a free event to attend all ages are welcome with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies for the kids.

National Soup Month Special

To kick the new year off and celebrate January as National Soup Month, we're offering up a spectacular soup special!

Each day in January the outside temperature at 11AM will determine the price of a cup of soup. For example: If the temperature is 20 degrees, the cup of soup is just 20 cents!

The price is based on the temperature displayed on the lobby display at the front entrance. Offer is good for one cup of soup per person with a purchase of a beverage. Excludes Sweet Pepper Crab Soup. Dine in only. Promotion valid through January 31, 2015.

Secret Santa

The holidays are a special time for not only the chance to be surrounded with family and friends, but for businesses to give back to loyal customers. Jack's Restaurant Manager, Heather Hoffman and Executive Chef Art Blackmer decided to take it upon themselves to play Secret Santa and treat unsuspecting patrons to a delicious dinner.

One couple dining in the restaurant happened to be guests of Holiday Inn who decided to give Jack's a try for dinner. The decision was better than expected as they were greeted with excellent service in the restaurant and bar. Art and Heather made their rounds to make sure they were pleased with their meal and surprised them by compensating dinner! Heather suggested hitting the bar on their way out where further service was provided and great entertainment had by our weekend band. They posted a review of their experience on our Facebook - check it out here!

While multiple guests were treated, a favorite was the Spring Lake Lacrosse Coach and his wife. They were picked because of their inquisitive nature towards a summer busser, Matt. They discussed what a wonderful young man he is and what a great job his parents have done. As conversation continued they mentioned they have three kids of their own at home and decided to enjoy an evening with just the two of them.

The experience was rewarding for the managers and servers involved in our act of "Secret Santa", not only for seeing happy customers, but to learn more about them and their experience with Jack's. Stay on your toes - you never know what could happen when dining at Jack's Waterfront Bistro + Bar!

Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving Weekend is the most heavily traveled weekend of the year, with an estimated 42 million people traveling. We are thankful for the privilege of welcoming some of those travelers this Thanksgiving Weekend staying with the Holiday Inn Spring Lake and dining at Jack's!

We are also thankful for the families who chose to create a memory by celebrating Thanksgiving here at our buffet. Our staff served up a traditional Thanksgiving feast for over 500 people. Ever wonder what it takes to feed that many people?

Well just for fun, after the last table departed, the crumbs settled and the mounds of pots, pans and dishes were washed, we tallied what was served.

174 pounds of Turkey
60 pounds of shrimp
100 oysters
412 pounds of mashed potatoes
134 pounds of sweet potatoes
40 pounds of butternut squash
432 hard boiled eggs
113 pounds of stuffing

12 pumpkin pies
300 pumpkin pie shooters
150 cream filled chocolate cups
and last but not least 48 pounds of whip cream!

 

And those were just the staple items. The buffet also featured pounds of vegetable medley, green beans, mini marshmallows, salad, salmon, crab, and a variety of pies. We're so thankful for our dedicated culinary team, servers, and managers who all devoted their Thanksgiving to serve the families who chose to spend their holiday with us.

And with that we're on to the next. Breakfast with Santa Saturday, December 13th. Save the Date!

To kick off the snowy season we're hosting a holiday breakfast buffet! Jack's Waterfront Bistro welcomes you to join us on Saturday, December 13th from 8am - 11am for Breakfast with Santa!

Enjoy a light breakfast buffet including eggs, french toast sticks, breakfast potatoes, bacon, fruit and kid parfaits. Our dining area is decorated with trees, wreaths and lights with an opportunity to meet Santa. It's going to be fun for the whole family, so bring your camera and holiday spirit!

The buffet will be available to adults for $7.99 and children for $4.99 (children under 2 eat free).

The Breakfast with Santa buffet has been moved to the Grand Ballroom to better accommodate all patrons. Reservations are required to better serve you. To reserve call 616-846-1370.

The contest was created by Jack's to diversify our weekly burrito feature every Tuesday with input and engagement from Facebook fans and Instagram followers.

Tell us what kind of burrito you want us to feature (if you have a picture too, even better) by submitting it to Jack's Facebook, Jack's Instagram (@jackswaterfrontbistro) or emailed to info@higrandhaven.com using the hashtag #myjacksburrito for voting purposes.

For Example: Chicken Avocado Burrito with Spicy Queso!

The winning contest will receive a free burrito the day their recipe is announced, a special offer will be sent to their email for the following week, and it will be showcased at Jack's Waterfront Bistro, as well as on our website and social networks.

While the Grand Haven area boasts multiple New Year’s Eve Parties, we will host our annual NYE party free to the public to attend. Live entertainment will be provided by Three’s A Crowd in the Grand Ballroom with a DJ in the bar. The party starts at 9PM with no cover charge, or drink minimum. Doors open at 8PM!

Shop 4 Schools

Participating stores and restaurants in the tri-cities area will donate 15% of your purchases to the school of your choice this Saturday, November 15th. Retailers will be supporting the event from 10AM - 6PM, and restaurants from 11AM-4PM. The event was first brought to the tri-cities area last year and brought in $9,340.93 shared by 7 area schools.

We love the idea, and will be supporting the event again this year to show support for local schools and community members - so stop in and see us!
